Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Program Support Unit Manager to lead statewide efforts across STAR+PLUS and STAR Kids programs in managed care. You will guide enrollment policies, staff supervision, and cross‑functional coordination with health plans, providers, and internal HHSC teams in a fast‑paced state government setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of full-time management experience.
• Experience in Medicaid waiver programs, policies, procedures, and eligibility processes.
• Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Experience planning, assigning, and directing the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Oversees PSU regional staff activities and the performance of Medicaid STAR+PLUS and STAR Kids program activities.
• Coordinates PSU staff who explain enrollment requirements to managed care organizations, internal staff, and member families.
• Directs policy analysis, project implementation, and policy documentation for PSU programs.
• Provides guidance and supervision to PSU staff to implement policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines.
