Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Program Specialist IV in Austin to lead end-to-end LTSS policy projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable program outcomes for Medicaid long-term services.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and executive-level communication to ensure timely, compliant policy delivery across Texas.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a related health and human services position.
• Experience in direct care, case management, oversight, or policy development related to 1915(c) Medicaid waiver programs.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategic analysis, development, implementation, and documentation of federal and state legislation and regulations.
• Drives and facilitates meetings related to Medicaid LTSS, including workgroups and subcommittees, to develop program materials.
• Produces written updates, memos, summaries, and legislative reports.
• Serves as a subject matter expert, leading or contributing to workgroups and meetings for assigned Medicaid waiver programs.
