Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Program Director to lead the New York Medicaid Provider Services Management program. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a complex enrollment and management initiative, coordinating across operations, technology, and client stakeholders.

The role requires strong relationship management, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of delivering on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, information technology, project management, or related field.
• 7+ years managing complex healthcare, Medicaid, government, or technology programs.
• 10+ years in managerial and leadership roles.
• Experience managing provider enrollment, Medicaid Enterprise Systems, MMIS, or related programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, contractual obligations, budgets, risks, issues, staffing, and performance metrics.
• Experience in a multi-vendor environment coordinating with government agencies and partners.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a high-visibility, time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with privacy, security, HIPAA, and data-access requirements.
• Ability to travel to onsite client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Meet contractual SLAs for system functionality, staffing, issue resolution, reporting, and readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across provider enrollment operations, business analysis, project management, technology, testing, and training.
• Provide operational leadership for transition from development to steady-state operations with readiness.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges with internal teams, client, and vendors.
• Establish and maintain risk, issue, dependency, change, escalation, and decision-management practices.
• Lead program readiness activities including implementation planning, go-live preparation, stabilization, and improvement.
• Support CMS certification, IV&V activities, and audit readiness as required.
• Oversee workforce planning and staffing to meet contractual and operational needs.
• Prepare and present status reports, executive briefings, and financial updates to leadership and client stakeholders.
• Develop and implement methods to improve provider/User experience, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Guide team members and leads across program areas and delivery phases.
• Collaborate with Business Development to support growth and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state/federal regulations.
