Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services seeks a Program Coordinator II (Member Services) to resolve escalated issues, reference legislative referrals, and collaborate with internal and external partners to improve member experience.

Under supervision, you will research and provide resolutions, stay informed on Medicaid policy, and participate in professional development while supporting the agency's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience, preferably with SC Medicaid or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Medicaid policy and MMIS systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from applicants, members and stakeholders via email and phone, documenting all interactions in Service Manager.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SC Medicaid policy, MMIS, Curam and related systems to support member services.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve escalated member issues and improve processes.
• Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement within the Member Services escalation team.
