Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong knowledge of adult Medicaid programs and eligibility determination.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate with clients, public officials, and the general public to obtain data and explain rules.
• Ability to instruct and evaluate the work of lower level employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial determination and redetermination of eligibility for Adult Medicaid, Long Term Care Medicaid, and related programs.
• Apply NC Medicaid policies accurately within timeframes.
• Compute budgeting scenarios related to program eligibility and benefits.
