Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Revenue Cycle Associate to interview uninsured/underinsured patients, determine Medicaid eligibility, and assist with applications on-site at VCUHS Main Hospital.

The role requires 1–2 years in healthcare, knowledge of billing, authorizations, and benefits verification. CRCR within 9 months and benefits include tuition reimbursement and certifications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare billing or revenue cycle.
• Understanding of patient insurance processes and eligibility.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements and CPT/procedure codes.

Responsibilities

• Review uninsured/under-insured patients for program eligibility and coordinate the application process.
• Communicate with patients to obtain documents that must accompany the application and ensure timely submission.
• Follow applications to determination, update insurance information, and ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Document all actions in patient accounting systems and stay current on state and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers and revenue cycle departments to support processes.
