Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an on-site Revenue Cycle specialist at Mercy - Lorain Hospital in Lorain, OH. The role focuses on interviewing uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility and assist with submission processes.

The position requires 1–2 years in healthcare, knowledge of revenue cycle dynamics, and strong documentation and communication skills to ensure timely billing and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in healthcare interacting with patients regarding hospital financial issues.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.

Responsibilities

• Review referred uninsured/under-insured patients for program eligibility opportunities and coordinate the application process.
• Communicate with patients to obtain documents that must accompany the application.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely billing or adjustment posting after submissions.
