Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring at Stamford, CT for an on-site role handling uninsured/under-insured patient eligibility for Medicaid and related programs. You will assist with applications, follow up to ensure timely processing, and help patients navigate billing and coverage.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in healthcare, revenue cycle knowledge, and experience with insurance processes; CRCR within 9 months is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare industry, interacting with patients regarding hospital financial issues.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and Call Center experience highly preferred.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing uninsured/under-insured patients for program eligibility opportunities and coordinating the application process.
• Communicating with patients to obtain required documents for the application.
• Tracking submitted applications to ensure timely billing or adjustments.
• Documenting actions and communications in patient accounting systems.
• Staying updated on state and federal program requirements and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
