Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Medicaid Division, is seeking a Medicaid Contract Manager to oversee vendor contracts and ensure compliance across pre- and post-implementation activities.

The role requires extensive procurement and contract administration experience, strong reporting skills, and the ability to lead oversight meetings and coordinate with multiple state agencies. This position is based in Des Moines, IA and includes a comprehensive state benefits package.

Qualifications

• Eight years of full-time procurement or contract administration experience.
• Four-year degree in business/public administration, accounting, or economics with equivalent experience.
• Combination of education and experience totaling eight years.
• State procurement/contract experience within Iowa is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point for vendor contract oversight and approval of pre/post implementation.
• Analyze vendor reports for contractual compliance.
• Draft and present performance reports; lead oversight meetings.
• Develop agendas, identify issues, document decisions and actions.
• Monitor corrective actions and track compliance with contracts.
• Collaborate with HHS and other state agencies to ensure governance.
