Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, or 24 credits in human services with applicable experience.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security applications.
• Experience working with persons with disabilities in healthcare or rehab settings.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved status.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers in determining Medicaid eligibility and entitlements.
• Aid SSI/SSDI applications and follow-up, including referrals to vendors.
• Provide benefit renewal assistance and community referrals.
• Represent during administrative law judge hearings (where applicable).
• Serve as presenter on benefits training across programs and departments.
