Job summary

Valley Cities is seeking a Client Access & Benefits Navigator to help clients obtain health coverage and to support clinicians with coverage requirements. The role focuses on renewals, eligibility determinations, and liaising with state and partner agencies to minimize gaps in care.

You will guide clients through Medicaid eligibility, Apple Health processes, and related documentation, ensuring timely submissions and accurate recordkeeping across care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years related experience or an associate/bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience.
• Working knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules and enrollment processes.
• Ability to explain complex eligibility requirements in plain language.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadline-driven caseloads.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with gathering, completing, and submitting eligibility and renewal documentation.
• Support clients through Washington Healthplanfinder and related processes, including account setup.
• Identify reinstatement pathways for clients who lost coverage and assist with reapplication.
• Conduct proactive outreach before redetermination deadlines and coordinate with care teams.
• Maintain timely documentation of client contacts and coverage status.
