Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking a part-time Video Lab Assistant to help manage the video lab during established hours.

You will operate equipment in control rooms and studios, oversee student use, sign equipment out and in, and maintain all gear under the supervision of the Video Lab Supervisor. The role requires you to have upper-level status (sophomore–senior), completed DIGI 225 or equivalent, and strong video and audio production skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a Liberty student with at least one prior semester.
• Completed DIGI 225 or equivalent.
• Strong video and audio production skills; able to teach and assist others.
• Able to keep track of equipment and paperwork.

Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Upper‑level (sophomore, junior, or senior) status and having spent at least one prior semester at Liberty.
• Student must have successfully completed DIGI 225 or equivalent.
• Good video and audio production skills, able to communicate, teach, and assist others in the use of video equipment.
• Ability to keep track of equipment and properly fill out paperwork.
• Excellent people skills, organization, honesty, integrity, and dependability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Experience with professional video and audio equipment.
• Ability to work some nights and weekends.

Starting at $12.77 per hour. Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
