Broadcast Student Worker
Assist with a variety of broadcast tasks across video production, engineering, and event production. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety measures, and strong quality control.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Work with various broadcast departments on diverse projects.
- Follow direction precisely and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Coordinate with staff and managers; perform office work as needed.
- Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University positively.
- Act as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and mission.
Athletic Creative Team Student Worker Responsibilities
- Assist the Athletic Creative Team to meet creative needs of Liberty Athletics.
- Use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom; create compelling visual content.
- Operate social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and produce engaging posts.
- Photograph and video footage; edit and deliver content for storytelling.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Handle multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines and work nights/weekends.
- Travel to events if required.
Campus Production Student Worker Responsibilities
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, ProVideoPlayer, and ProPresenter.
- Stay focused under stress and may work overtime or nights.
- Communicate equipment and personnel needs to technicians for automated and staffed university events.
- Apply knowledge of sound reinforcement, stage lighting, live video production, signal flow, electricity, and computer systems.
- Support the spiritual enrichment of others by focusing on ministry in the workplace.
- Learn to troubleshoot equipment issues and adapt to changing circumstances.
Journey Student Worker Responsibilities
- Coordinate with staff and managers.
- Record, edit, and produce station promos, PSAs, and imaging.
- Gather audio for morning show segments (interviews, listener comments, etc.).
- Assist Promotions Coordinator with inventory and packaging of promotional items.
- Assist with social media content creation and event support.
Qualifications and Credentials
- Current Liberty University student.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Problem‑solving ability for routine and complex tasks.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 10 lbs, and handle visual and auditory demands.
Working Conditions
Work environments vary from climate‑controlled event spaces to outdoor campus settings with moderate to loud noise levels. The role may require occasional driving.
