Capital Health is seeking a Med Technologist (BS/C) in Pennington, NJ for a full-time role. The position conducts routine bacteriological, serological, hematological and chemical testing, prepares specimens, and records results.

Requires Associate's degree in a science-related field; ASCP preferred; prior clinical lab experience is expected. Eligible for comprehensive benefits; pay ranges from $32.97 to $43.07 per hour depending on hours and status.

Degree in medical laboratory sciences preferred. ASCP preferred. Experience:Previous clinical laboratory employment. Other Credentials: Knowledge and Skills:Familiarity with personal computers. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Special Training:Completion of training in medical technology program or related field. No If set to YES, then this position has the authority (delegated) to hire, terminate, discipline, promote or effectively recommend such to manager. ## ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Performs all testing accurately and timely within their assigned section using computer linked automated electronic equipment and/or manual methodologies.* Performs routine procedures accurately requiring subjective analysis under supervision. Performs procedures relevant to the routine operation and maintenance of analytical equipment in their assigned sections.* Prepares samples of blood and body fluids for analysis taking measures to ensure the appropriateness of sample and the identity of the patient. Records accurate and timely results of analysis using manual and electronic reporting methods.* Performs procedures accurately and completely following established infection control practices and adhering to established standards and practices for quality assurance.* Uses knowledge of quality control methods in determining the acceptability of results. Consults with technical supervisors and pathologists regarding atypical results.* Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care when performing phlebotomy of other direct patient services.
