Job summary

Monarch Communities in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a Part-Time & Per Diem Med Tech to provide quality resident care with medication administration support under RN supervision. The role requires NJ Medication Aid and CNA/HHA certifications, and requires weekend availability.

The position offers a flexible schedule, on-site work at 814 Wyckoff Ave, and per diem compensation with a $21.31–$24.00 hourly range. Final pay is experience-based and compliant with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a current NJ Medication Aid Certification AND a NJ CNA or HHA Certification.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment preferred.
• Able to work weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to residents and families as part of the medical team.
• Assist with medication administration under RN delegation and maintain related records.
• Follow physician orders and care plans to support resident well-being.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
• Attend required training and participate in in-service sessions.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and comfort during care delivery.

Position: Med Tech- Part Time & Per Diem

Location: 814 Wyckoff Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430

Hourly Range: $21.31 - $24.00

Final compensation dependent on experience

Job Overview- Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for providing quality care and services to all resident and their families.
• Provide assistance of medication administration for resident according to their care
• plan and physician’s orders
• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to
• residents and maintain related medical records under the delegation of the RN
• including supervision of the LPN.
• Completes required annual medication training, per state requirements.
• Completes company required medication training modules.
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s
• care plan.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy,
• completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification
• standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as
• community policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, including care tasks/assignments as needed and
• delegated.

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
