Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking compassionate caregivers to administer medications and assist with resident care in a senior living setting. You will document care in accordance with the care plan and regulatory standards, under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include training compliance, maintaining records, and upholding resident privacy and dignity. Weekend availability is required; the role supports a per diem, on-site work environment with flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Current NJ Medication Aid Certification is required.
• NJ CNA or HHA Certification is required.
• Minimum of six months experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, hospital, or long-term care.

• Provide resident care according to the resident’s care plan.
• Maintain medical records and documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.
• Ensure the comfort, privacy, and dignity in service delivery to residents.
• Participate in in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to resident and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN
• Complete required annual medication training, per state requirements
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s care plan
• Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$22.00-$24.00 per hour

Qualifications

• Must have a current NJ Medication Aid Certification AND a NJ CNA or HHA Certification
• Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment
• Able to work weekends

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
