Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Med Tech for a part-time and per diem position at our Mahwah, NJ location. You will assist with medication administration under RN delegation, support residents, and help maintain care plans.

You must hold NJ Medication Aid Certification and NJ CNA or HHA Certification, with at least six months’ experience with seniors, and be able to work some weekends. Perks include flexible scheduling and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must have NJ Medication Aid Certification and NJ CNA or HHA Certification.
• Minimum of six months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment preferred.
• Able to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to residents and families.
• Administer and/or assist with medication per physician orders under RN delegation.
• Maintain and document medical records accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Support residents according to their care plan and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Attend in-service training and comply with all policies and procedures.

Job Description

Position: Med Tech- Part Time & Per Diem

Location: 814 Wyckoff Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430

Hourly Range: $21.31 - $24.00

Final compensation dependent on experience

Job Overview- Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for providing quality care and services to all resident and their families.
• Provide assistance of medication administration for resident according to their care
• plan and physician's orders
• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to
• residents and maintain related medical records under the delegation of the RN
• including supervision of the LPN.
• Completes required annual medication training, per state requirements.
• Completes company required medication training modules.
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident's
• care plan.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy,
• completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification
• standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled.
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as
• community policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, including care tasks/assignments as needed and
• delegated.

Qualifications

• Able to work some weekends

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
