Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a Med Tech in Blacksburg, VA to support residents with medications, ADLs, and care activities. You will supervise Resident Assistants, maintain service plans, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements include licensure compliance, effective communication, and CPR/First Aid completion within 60 days. A CNA credential may be required in some states and a $1,200 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Need to meet licensing authorities' requirements.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Good character; respectful toward elderly and disabled residents.
• Maintain clean personal appearance and pass background checks.
• TB screening and CPR/First Aid within 60 days of employment.
• Capable of resident care with dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL assistance, vital signs, first aid, and wound care.
• Distribute medications per physician orders and community policy.
• Supervise Resident Assistants and monitor shifts.
• Maintain service plans and participate in care plan reviews.
• Document communications, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Ensure clean, organized nurses' station and medication cart.
• Train new team members and uphold infection control standards.
