Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Med Tech/CMA to assist residents with medication administration and daily living activities, ensuring comfort and safety. You will work as part of a supportive team within a grounded care environment in Chesapeake, VA.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid state medication administration license, and First Aid/CPR. Experience with memory care is a plus; weekend rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid state medication administration license (CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP/Certified Caregiver) or meet state requirements for medication administration.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with the daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration as outlined in care plans.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Assist in managing medication inventory and storage; coordinate re-orders and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Prioritize independence and provide emotional support with continuous engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
