Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks a dedicated Medication Tech (Med Tech) for a full-time role in Roanoke, VA. The position provides quality care and assists residents with daily living and prescribed medication administration.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a Medication Aide Course and current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medication Aide Course required.
• Current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing required.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually required.
• Pass all medication cart audits required.
• Attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Report care concerns to RN/LPN or HCD.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicate medication needs to HCD and document in EMAR/MAR.
• Re-order medications and communicate changes to pharmacy and families as needed.
