Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Glenshaw, PA is seeking a dedicated Med Tech to provide quality resident care and assist with daily living activities, including medication administration within the scope of practice. The role requires completing the Medication Aide Course and holding CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.

Responsibilities include EMAR/MAR documentation, activity participation, and confidential reporting of resident status.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to obtain within 60 days.
• Must work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Documents medication administration on EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Reports incidents and care concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Performs housekeeping and assists in resident movement to meals/activities.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Attends required in-services and staff meetings.
