Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Glenshaw, PA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living while administering prescribed medications within the scope of practice.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses from the State Board of Nursing in good standing. Candidates must pass medication observations and audits, attend ongoing education, and be able to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Assists residents to and from the dining room and activities.
• Checks on residents, attendance at meals and activities, and communicates status to the team.
• Documents all medication administration on the EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
