  • Assisted Living/Memory Care regulations knowledge.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate.
  • Completion of state-certified medication aide/tech course.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication.
  • Employee must maintain Fields Senior Living integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance per health care provider orders.
  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication following guidelines.
  • Maintain resident records on medication distribution and incidents; observe safety and report changes to LN on duty.
  • Assist residents with ADL tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, meals, housekeeping, laundry.
  • Observe and uphold resident rights, assist with meals, interact with residents courteously and empathetically.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure quality of care.
  • Document pertinent information in charting and designated locations; report to supervisors as needed.
  • Communicate with physicians via fax and telephone.
  • Keep environment safe and clean for residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and servicesaccordingtothe health care provider's orders
  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company andregulatoryguidelines
  • Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; Observeresidents for safety and reports any and all changes in resident condition effectively,accurately,and in a timely mannertoLN on duty
  • Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to: assisting with bathing,grooming,toileting,dressing,oralcare,ambulation,transfers,servingandassistingwithmeals,feeding,housekeeping,bedmaking,andlaundry
  • Always observe and uphold resident rights; assist residents to and from meals; Relatetoresidentsin a courteous, empathetic,and cooperative manner
  • Must be willing to work with and provide assistance to other staff from all departments toensure quality of care for residents
  • Documents pertinent information in residents charts and in other specified locations (e.g.; alert charting and incident reports)
  • Communicates with physicians, via fax and telephone
  • Keepenvironment safe andclean for residents

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret charting standards, physician orders, or administrative regulations.
  • Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
  • Mustattendrequiredin-services/workshopstofurthereducationofskillsandcommunity requirements.
  • Successfulcompletionofstatecertifiedmedicationaide/techcourse.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.
  • The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
  • Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
  • Mustbewillingtobeactiveandonfeetduringentireworkshift.
  • Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
