Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be drug free and submit to Urine Drug Screen upon hire and routinely.
• Must pass Criminal Background Check and Health Screening including TB test.
• Must be eighteen (18) years old.
• Maintains current CPR and first aid certification.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret care plans.
• Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans.
• Observe and uphold resident rights and support residents with emotional issues.
• Assist other staff on the floors and help residents to and from meals.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist or lead activities when asked.
• Work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and perform housekeeping duties as scheduled.
• Observe residents for safety and report changes to the on-duty supervisor.
• Assist in development and revision of Service Plans with caregiver input.
• Answer resident pendant/pull cords immediately.
• Possess working knowledge of community call/communication system.
• Attend required in-services/workshops to further education.

Job description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with ADL tasks as indicated in their service plans. This includes but not limited to: assisting withbathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, servingandassisting withmeals, feeding,housekeeping,bedmaking,andlaundry
• Always observe and uphold resident rights
• Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues
• Assistotherstaffasneededonthefloors
• Assistresidentstoandfrommeals
• Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to/from activities, encouraging participation, and leading activities when asked.
• Must be willing to work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of careforresidents
• Keepenvironment safeandcleanforresidents;performing housekeeping duties as indicate don cleaning schedule or assignment sheets.
• Observe residents for safety and report any and all changes in resident conditioneffectively,accurately,andinatimelymannertoLNonduty
• Assist in development and revision of Service Plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences as well as successful service approaches.
• Answers all resident pendant/pull cords immediately.
• Carryandpossessaworkingknowledgeofcommunitycall/communication system
• All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.

• Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
