MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care on a 12-hour shift, reporting to the Manager of Medical-Surgical Telemetry. You will organize, plan, and coordinate care using the Watson Model and actively participate in mission and core values.

Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing assessments, SBAR communications, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree preferred.
• Associate in Nursing / Nursing Diploma / equivalent.
• Internal MLKCH Versant Nurse Residency Program consideration.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates nursing process as a problem-solving model to anticipate and plan for patient/family needs.
• Nursing assessment targeted to patient population or situation with prioritization and follow-through.
• Provide age-appropriate care, apply current literature and critical thinking for clinical decisions.
• Support hospital Patient Satisfaction initiatives during interactions with patients and families.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic nurse/patient relationships and conduct hourly rounding.
• Communicate SBAR during hand-offs.
• Document care including IPOC, Watson Model of Care per policies.
• Anticipate variables affecting comfort; support patient/family participation in recovery.
• Meet learning needs of patients and families; utilize resources for positive outcomes.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Review orders and communicate changes; notify physician of significant changes.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and document outcomes.
• Use patient classification system per standards.
• Plan and supervise ancillary staff and ensure shift evaluations for registry/floats.
• Maintain professional appearance and proper ID per dress code.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment complying with regulatory standards.
• Participate in unit Quality/Performance Improvement and report findings.
• Assist with unit orientation for new employees.
• Assist in equipment and room setup; support Care Collaborative System training and testing.
• Provide basic hygiene and ADL support for patients.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Formation
