Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 3B Med/Surg unit in Frederick, MD. The role provides nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including pre/post-op considerations, with a focus on comprehensive assessment and discharge planning.

You will perform nursing interventions, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and mentor less experienced staff while adhering to FH standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland (or compact).
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or obtainable within 5 years.
• CPR certification; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs of adult/geriatric patients.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process with appropriate documentation.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families and assist in discharge planning.
• Demonstrate accountability for quality and department standards.
