Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Provides leadership by delegating and supervising nursing activities.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and identifies areas for improvement.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family and community services for discharge planning.
• Assesses and provides teaching based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Utilizes resources to provide quality, cost effective patient care.
• Meets credentialing standards and safety education; maintains clinical competencies.
• Serves as role model/preceptor to new staff.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.
