• Leads by delegating, supervising and participating in safe nursing care activities.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family and community services for discharge planning.
• Assesses and teaches patients and families based on needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Maintains clinical competencies per credentialing standards and mandatory education.
• Serves as a preceptor to new graduates and less experienced staff.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.
