Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time position in the Med/Surg 2E unit. The shift is 7a–7p on weekdays with some weekend requirements, totaling 36 hours per week.

The RN will provide evidence-based care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation using the nursing process, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate EHR

Qualifications

• RN license active in target state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• BSN degree is preferred but not required for all RN roles.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Promote safety culture and accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Demonstrate effective communication and team delegation.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and provide unbiased patient care.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
