Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit in Wilmington, NC. This full-time role offers a day shift (7 a.m.

– 7 p.m.) with a focus on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to adults with diverse medical and surgical needs in a collaborative team setting. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and ensure safety and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.
• One year of relevant nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult patients.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions while monitoring patient progress.
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Promote a safe environment while following hospital policies and patient safety standards.
