Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a 32-bed med-surg unit. The role involves 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with days and every third weekend. You will deliver patient-centered care, document in EHR, and participate in quality initiatives.

Requirements include a Board of Nursing approved education program, RN license with state privileges, and BLS certification. Preferred BSN; 1 year of nursing experience is typical.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in applicable state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans; document in EHR.
