Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring an RN for the Medical-Surgical unit in College Station. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adults with diverse diagnoses in a fast-paced acute-care setting.

This is a full-time day shift position (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), 36 hours per week. You will assess, plan, administer medications, monitor patients, educate families, and coordinate interdisciplinary care to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify health issues to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education in the electronic medical record.
• Prioritize care for multiple patients while maintaining safety and standards of practice.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and unit-based initiatives.
