Job summary

UAB Medicine is hiring an RN for PRN shifts at UAB St Vincent's Birmingham. The role provides direct nursing care, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and ensures accurate orders and discharge planning. You will work in the 3 Main, Med Surg department within a major Alabama health system.

Qualified candidates hold a nursing diploma, current RN licensure in Alabama, and BLS within 30 days of hire. This position offers exposure to diverse clinical services and a pathway to professional growth

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Current RN licensure with Alabama Board of Nursing at time of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implements and monitors patient care plans; records and communicates patient conditions.
• Acts as primary coordinator of disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders; supports discharge planning.
