Job summary

UAB Medicine invites qualified Registered Nurses to join our team at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham in a PRN capacity within 3 Main, MedSurg.

The role focuses on delivering direct nursing care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, and ensure timely documentation of patient conditions.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• RN license in Alabama required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care as the primary liaison of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
