Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS seeks a Med/Surg Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive care to patients recovering from surgery and managing acute or chronic conditions. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This full-time, day-shift role requires a valid RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and prior acute care hospital experience is preferred. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license issued by the State.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical indicators.
• Recognize deterioration and respond promptly.
• Administer medications safely and monitor effects.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to plan care.
• Educate patients on condition and recovery.
• Communicate with doctors, therapists, and social workers.
