Job summary

St. John’s Hospital in Leavenworth, KS is seeking a Medical Surgical CNA to assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support nursing staff with wound care and mobility tasks.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate on hire
• BLS/CPR certification on hire
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months’ experience in an acute care setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs such as bathing, dressing and toileting
• Help with mobility and feeding; monitor intake/output
• Record vital signs and report changes to nurses; assist with wound care under RN
• Stock and maintain supplies; keep patient areas clean and safe
• Transport patients within the hospital
