Saint John Hospital, Inc. in Leavenworth, KS seeks a Medical Surgical CNA to support patient care on the Med-Surg floor. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support nurses with wound care and supplies.

The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, on 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). A CNA certificate and BLS are required, with six months hospital or clinic experience preferred. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; may assist with feeding and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs; observe and report changes in a patient’s condition; may assist with wound care under RN supervision.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms; keep environment clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.
