Job summary

Mizell-Memorial-Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the MedSurg Unit under the supervision of the LPN, RN, or Charge Nurse. This role focuses on compassionate, reliable bedside assistance and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include attending shifts, maintaining patient confidentiality, delivering meals, assisting with admissions and discharges, reporting I&O and vitals, and collaborating with team members to ensure safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• PCT/CNA experience preferred (at least 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Attends scheduled shifts and completes duties per guidelines and protocols.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Shows initiative in completing job responsibilities and works with a spirit of teamwork.
• Assists patients with meals and activities of daily living.
• Assists with admission, discharge, transfer, and transportation of patients.
• Records I&O and vital signs for documentation with the LPN/RN.
• Answers call lights promptly and responds to patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
