Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a patient care assistant to support RN-supervised tasks in a Saint Paul facility. You will assist with daily patient care activities, monitor patients, and help with mobility and comfort while maintaining safety protocols.

The role involves 8-hour day/night shifts, an every-other-weekend rotation, and a 0.6 FTE schedule (48 hours per two weeks) within the Post Surgical Medicine department. Prior BLS or in-house training is required or provided within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or 17 years with high school diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or in-house BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Record and report vital signs and health observations to the RN.
• Help with meals, hydration, hygiene, and daily activities for patients.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care as directed.
