Ascension Health in Kyle, TX is seeking an experienced Nursing Leader for Seton Medical Center Hays in the Med Surg department. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, staff development and high-quality patient care.

You will oversee budgeting, policy implementation, performance monitoring, and staffing—driving satisfaction among associates, patients and physicians while promoting professional growth through Ascension tuition reimbursement and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• Active RN license in Texas prior to hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and unit(s).
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
• Develops and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
• Monitors and adheres to budget; approves or monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensures a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.
