Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in PT/OT/PA/RN program or related healthcare training with at least one clinical rotation.
• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a health sciences field preferred.
• Successful completion of UPMC patient care technician class.
• Basic information system training requested.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient procedures and ADLs (bathing, feeding, transporting).
• Document medical records according to procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate departments.
• Engage with patients and families under RN direction.
• Maintain safety and infection control policies across unit operations.
• Respond to call lights and support universal unit activities.
