Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Float Pool. The role provides 24/7 clinical coverage for medical and surgical adult patients, with a 36-hour schedule and day/night rotation.

You'll deliver comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with the health-care team, document in the EMR, and participate in quality improvement and staff development initiatives within a supportive, growth‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required for some units.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN) preferred; BSN within 4 years encouraged.
• Clinical area-specific certs may be required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Physical ability to perform duties.
• Basic computer skills.
• Second language fluency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surge nursing care: assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate patients.
• Communicate with care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate care with inter-professional team.
• Update and document patient records.
• Enter and interpret EMR data.
• Adhere to BMCHS nursing policies.
• Support leadership in quality improvement projects.
