AMC Oshkosh - Med Surg: IU Medical Unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and daily activities, measure vitals, document in EMR, and participate in rounds. The role emphasizes safety, compassion, and teamwork in a busy hospital unit.

The schedule features 3-12 hour shifts per week (Mon-Fri nights 1800-0630), self-scheduling, weekends and holidays as required. Benefits eligible.

Qualificações

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility and transfers.
• Measure and document vitals, intake/output, weights, and other data in EMR.
• Perform rounding, communicate observations to RN, and document appropriately.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands, stock nursing areas, and clean equipment and workspaces.
• Assist with patient positioning, meals, and maintaining skin integrity.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures at all times.
• Possess knowledge to care for patients across age groups as required.
