Job summary

191 Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh, Inc. in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Med Surg IU Medical Unit.

The role is full-time with 36 hours per week, 3-12 hour shifts weekly (Mon-Fri) including Nights 1800-0630, and self-scheduling of some weekends and holidays. You will assist the RN with daily patient care, document vitals and data in the EMR, participate in admissions/discharges, and help maintain patient safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vitals, intake/output, daily weights and other patient data.
• Documents accurately in EMR and communicates observations to the RN.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Maintains patient safety, room setup, linen management and transport assistance.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as required.
• Cleans equipment and maintains nursing area stock.
