Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a patient care observer and care provider for the Med Surg Care Unit Adaptable Progressive 3NE at Grosse Pointe Hosp. The role includes direct patient care under RN direction, patient transport, constant observation, and EMR documentation. This full-time position requires a week-long orientation and a night shift from 7 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m., with weekends on a rotating basis. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and preferred CNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred depending on experience.
• Current CNA certification preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to plan of care under RN supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties and document care in the EMR.

Education
