Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift to support the Med Surg unit. The role involves bedside patient care, vitals, and EMR documentation, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The position is full-time, benefits eligible, scheduled 36 hours per week across 3 shifts; night coverage includes weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. A CNA/BLS credential is required, with GED or HS diploma as education baseline.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
• Record vitals, intake/output, daily weights, and document in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge processes and room setup.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Restock nursing area, transport items and manage patient belongings.
• Assist with positioning and transport, monitor skin integrity.
• Follow infection prevention policies and ensure age-appropriate patient care.
