Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified) for night shifts. The role involves basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting mobility, and maintaining patient safety for adults on heart monitors. Sign-on bonus available; eligibility discussed at interview.

Shifts are 12 hours, 7p-7a, full-time, located at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Requires CNA and BLS certifications and prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Current CNA certificate is required.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; assist feeding as needed and monitor intake/output.
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes in condition and report to nurses; may assist with wound care under RN direction.
• Stock and maintains supplies in patient rooms; ensure environment stays clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.

We are seeking aMedical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified), also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele PCU Nursing Assistant. The Med-Surg/Tele/PCU Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care,monitoringvital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role inobservingpatients, reporting changes, andmaintaininga safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assistpatients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to preventskin breakdown, you may also feed patients who needassistanceand monitor intake/output
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration),observeand report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
• Stock andmaintainsupplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
• Assistin transporting patients within the hospital

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office
