Job summary

Janicki Industries is a private, family-owned aerospace manufacturer with a Layton, Utah facility focused on carbon fiber composites and aluminum structures for space and defense markets. The Mechatronics Technician will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot complex automated systems, including CNC machines and PLCs, while applying NX CAD skills and reading intricate electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical field related to manufacturing engineering technology or mechatronics
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–5 years of related experience preferred
• Familiar with SAP; Catia/Unigraphics and NX CAD skills are desirable
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of CNC machines with troubleshooting focus
• Install, write logic for PLC systems and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings for troubleshooting
• Assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance programs
• Work with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems up to 120V/24V
• Gain exposure to robotics and automation to improve efficiency
