Job summary

Werner Electric Supply seeks a Mechatronics Solution Consultant to assess customer processes and deliver deep technical expertise in Mechatronics, driving complex solution design and new business growth.

You will lead pursuits across Independent Cart, Complex Motion, Unified Robotics, and Emulation/Simulation, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Automation teams to ensure cohesive engagement and compelling proofs of concept.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Engineering, Mechatronics, Sales & Marketing or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 7–10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with customer engagement and providing tailored solutions.
• Prior experience delivering presentations and demonstrations.
• Ability to travel regularly through Werner territories, some overnight travel may be required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer processes and deliver deep technical, industry, and portfolio expertise in Mechatronics.
• Lead mechatronic solution pursuits for Independent Cart, Complex Motion, Unified Robotics, and Emulation/Simulation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing and Automation Specialists to ensure cohesive engagement strategies.
• Provide comprehensive customer support throughout the buying journey by reviewing project specs, preparing bills of materials, developing proof of concepts, and supporting customers.
• Log and manage customer targets, opportunities, tasks, and engagements in the CRM.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologial advancements to offer best mechatronic solutions.
• Maintain technical competency on Werner's solutions and external partners.
• Highlight Werner's Innovation Center's technology and services to position the organization as a leader.
• Participate in relevant trade shows and events.
