Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team across material handling equipment and pneumatic systems in our VA facility. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, while mentoring junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 2+ years repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or related machinery.
• 2+ years reading electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, belts, motors, sensors and relays.
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49lbs; stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift, with or without accommodation.
